About Who's In
Who's In is a mobile app that helps managers and players of adult recreational sports teams stay coordinated — slow-pitch softball, beer-league hockey, rec soccer, basketball, kickball, and more. It replaces the chaotic team group text with a single place for the schedule, availability, chat, and dues.
Who's In is an independent product operated by Nicholas Ciccone and based in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, United States. It is built for adults (18+); there are no youth or minor accounts.
What it does
- Schedule — managers post games and practices; everyone sees the same calendar.
- Who's in? — players mark themselves in, maybe, or out for each game.
- Team chat — one place for the team to talk, so a rainout never gets lost in a 40-message thread.
- Dues — managers track who has paid their team dues.
- Text reminders — optional SMS alerts so nobody misses a game or a last-minute change.
Text notifications
Who's In sends team members text-message reminders and alerts so nobody misses a game. Messages are tied to your team and include:
- Game reminders and "are you in?" prompts before a game.
- Urgent schedule changes — cancellations, rainouts, delays, time or field changes.
- Roster and dues reminders from your team manager.
Sample messages
- Who's In: Tigers vs Rapids tonight 8:15 PM, Field 2. Open the app to mark yourself in or out.
- Who's In: ⚠️ Tonight's game is CANCELED (rain). No game at Field 2.
- Who's In: Reminder — fall dues are due Friday. Payment info is in the app.

How members opt in
- A member downloads Who's In and joins their team.
- On the text-alerts screen (shown above), they enter their own mobile number.
- They check the consent box to agree to receive recurring text notifications from their team. The box is unchecked by default and is never required to use the app or to purchase anything.
- Only after that explicit, branded opt-in does Who's In send that member texts.
